Join us for PaddleFest Montana

These events support the Silver Lining Foundation, an all-breast cancer survivor organization that paddles out of Big Arm and helps empower breast cancer survivors in western Montana!

The Montana Dragon Boat Festival (which historically used to be on the north end of the lake), brings
together teams from all over the US and celebrates the Chinese culture of the dragon boat, where 20 paddlers paddle in unison in 500-meter races.

We believe in the healing power of water and the communal strength that arises when we forge connections beyond individual boundaries. The Silver Lining PaddleFest is about recognizing that every day is a gift. We believe that exercise is medicine, as well as the community that surrounds us and makes us whole. Along with honoring each of our sisters in the canoe, we welcome new members to our circle from around the world and from all cultures.

We acknowledge and are grateful that this event is on aboriginal territory, and we recognize and welcome all the members of the SKC tribe, including the Ksanka (Kootenai), Seliš (Salish), Pend d’Oreille, and Qlispé (Kalispel).
